Barbering Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Three years of experience as a Barber
3. Licensed by DOPL in Barbering or Cosmetology/Barbering
4. Licensed by DOPL as a Barber Instructor or Cosmetology/Barbering Instructor
5. Able to perform the bookkeeping at the end of the day and prepare the accounting records and accurately prepare the daily deposit

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
2. Experience in career and technical education

Business Instructor Part-Time

Job Title: Business Instructor Part-Time

Hours: Monday through Thursday 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Salary Range: $30.50 – $38.10 per hour depending on experience

What you’ll do:

  • Instruct and supervise students (high school and adult), review prior learning, and evaluate
    performance
  • Teach effectively using a competency-based curriculum
  • Maintain a productive and safe learning environment consistent with 91Ãâ·Ñ¿´Æ¬
    policy
  • Orient new students to classroom facilities, technology, and program/classroom performance and
    behavior expectations, procedures, and safety
  • Responsible for safekeeping of program equipment and computers. Identify and maintain
    equipment and supplies as required to support continuous instruction; request or purchase
    supplies, and/or equipment and maintenance thereof as appropriate
  • Address and resolve issues affecting student success, coordinating with Student Services when
    appropriate
  • Coordinate with staff and other instructors to ensure courses meet program, student, and
    employer needs
  • Provide feedback to program faculty to develop and implement competency-based curriculum
    that meets industry standards
  • Maintain student records, verify and report competency certificates, and track and report
    attendance, progress, and grades in a timely manner

Diesel Technology Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

2. Three year’s Heavy-Duty Diesel (HDD) maintenance experience and/or certificate in Heavy Duty Diesel technician

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
2. ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification

EMT/AEMT Adjunct Instructor

Pay Range: $29.00 per hour

Hours: The hours will vary and will be determined with the Course Coordinator. Class hours August-May are Monday-Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Monday-Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Class hours May-August are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Opportunity:
The adjunct instructor will be responsible for assisting in teaching and training students in both the
practical and theoretical aspects of advanced emergency medical services, including patient assessment,
treatment procedures, and medical protocols. They will assist with delivering lectures and covering gaps
in the instructional calendar. The main duty of the adjunct instructor will be to oversee hands-on skills
training and evaluate student performance to ensure competency and readiness for exams, including the National Certification exam, NREMT. Additionally, they ensure compliance with educational standards, contribute to curriculum development, and mentor students throughout their training.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with instruction and training within applicable program in accordance with curriculum and
    standards for subject matter being taught as assigned by the lead instructor or program director
  • Teach effectively using a competency-based curriculum
  • Evaluate the knowledge and competency of students and provide accurate reports under the
    supervision of the lead instructor and program director
  • Maintain a productive and safe learning environment consistent with 91Ãâ·Ñ¿´Æ¬
    policy
  • Promote job readiness, encourage professionalism and good work habits, and assist with helping
    students find work-based learning opportunities, related employment, and/or continued education

What we’re looking for:

  • Competent in given area of expertise being taught
  • For EMT program, current EMT, AEMT, or Medic license and certification with the State of Utah,
    and current endorsement as an EMS instructor
  • For AEMT program, current AEMT or Medic license and certification with the State of Utah, and
    current endorsement as an EMS instructor
  • Two year’s industry experience in area of expertise
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Degree in related field preferred
  • Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution preferred
  • Experience in career and technical education preferred

Nail Technician Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. One year of experience as a Nail Technician
3. Current DOPL Nail Technician Instructor License and Nail Technician License

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Two years of experience as a Nail Technician
2. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
3. Experience in career and technical education

Welding Technology Substitute Instructor
